20210605 Cactus flower

It seems hardly any time at all since I saw these flowers last year.  So much has changed and yet hasn’t changed with aspects of the pandemic seemingly so ingrained with ordinary life.  And now we are in lockdown again as we were last year.

Yet the cycles of nature continue and I am so glad that I am able to work with them.  For me it’s a real gift.

20210604 A Ganesha papaya

Dear Mahindran gave this papaya to me after it had been offered to Ganesha during the Friday puja.  Hopefully it will give me some special energy which I really feel I need at this time.

20210603 What a little water can do

Rajan told me that he had recently started giving this lemon tree water and that is why it is producing so many lemons.

We argue a lot about how much water we use, but it looks like it was put to good use in this case.

20210602 New life on an old tree

This is the ‘hug me’ tree in the Garden of Unseen Helpers.  I love how the new growth is coming and how the sun is shining on it.

Could this be happening to me?  Something new growing within me?  I can hope!

20210601 Snake gourd flower

Some of our snake gourd plants in the Seed garden have a lot of these beautiful flowers on them.  I love how delicate they are although they are very small.

20210531 At last, some beans

Its been so hot these last weeks that all the ‘ordinary’ vegetables have been struggling quite a bit.

But we must have put these beans in at just the right time because now they are starting to produce.  This time of year we really do have to be grateful for what we have.

20210530 Different colours of the storm

I got this picture today from a volunteer which she took on her phone.  I took a similar picture when the storm struck last week but mine is much less colourful with much greyer clouds.

Maybe she has used a filter or my pink clothes changed how the colours appear.
